Manufacture and supply of repair kits for keg fittings

Fitting basic function lies in leak-proof sealing of beer KEGS using seals. Kegging is performed by means of collecting head. KEGs are filled and washed through fittings.

The whole cycle starting from KEGs washing till KEGs final filling is carried out at a beer plant. At the point when sales operations start, attention shall be given to a different type of fittings as each type of collecting heads requires a specific type of fitting.

Types of fittings.

Currently the main types of fittings used in Russia are "A", "S", "С" and "М" fittings. “А” type is most common for Moscow and Moscow region. Such favourable situation is caused by simple and reliable structure and its easy maintenance. “A” type fittings are easy to be installed and do not require much labour costs.

Fittings are considered to be the most wearing parts of KEGs. In order to increase service life period for both KEGS and fittings, in-place washing and filling techniques are applied. The basic cause of seals wearing is fitting unscrewing followed by manual washing. In European countries KEGs service life is determined as thirty years period but actually KEGs are replaced once per 9-12 years. Within this period of time fittings being the most wearing part of KEGs require to be replaced three times. Moreover, within the same period of time rubber seals also require replacement. Unlike Europe, operating conditions in Russia are more severe and thus rubber seals and the fitting itself require replacement on a more frequent basis.

“A” fitting structure has recently been improved by means of seals modifying. However, modified seals are compatible with fittings manufactured by both DSI and Micromatic. FK section of Catalogue includes these seals.

Manufacture of “S” fitting top seals has also been mastered. These seals can be found in Catalogue numbered as FK-004-000. The Manufacturer offers “S” fitting top seals numbered as FK-004-000 in Catalogue and bottom seals for the same fitting numbered as PR-0420-0470-026.

KEGs connection fittings look similar to “A” fitting system but at the same time the probe has different structure features. These fittings have nothing in common with “A” fitting and won’t operate, thus this issue requires special attention and care. “M” fitting that has recently entered the market is not so common so far but it is characterized by good structure parameters that can`t but attract the attention of beer manufacturers.
